Anyone fished Whitney recently? Wondering about the current striper/sand bass bite/pattern?

Thanks for the intel rod-man. Very accurate. We ran chased the topwater bite yesterday till about noon yesterday. Then it got hot so went home and took a nap.

I'm sure all those stripers are biting but it must happen before I get to the lake in the morning or after I leave the the lake in the afternoon. But when I'm there, the fish can be found but they aren't eating anything live or artificial that I'm presenting. However, as soon as the water cools down to below the 80s, things will start moving.

Anejo - We were using pencil poppers mostly and when the graph lit up we would drop a slab to bottom and real up moderately fast. Casting and YoYoing the slab back to the boat was effective as well. Good luck.

Was out there on Sunday early. Caught some shad-had a hard time because there were a lot of small ones that went thru the 3/8 net. Only saw one blow up from 6:30 to 1pm. Everything we caught was in about 25 feet of water at the State Park. Out deeper on the flats we only got cats. Ended up with about 15 stripers, with 5 being keeper size. A few random sandies on spinners and slabs. All the stripers were on shad. Every other time we have been out lately, there was a lot of top water action, so Sunday was a bit strange.
