I know there is a section on cooking but you crappie guys.. crappie filets, skillet, olive oil- just a dab and lemon pepper. Sear till white, flip sear till done. Nice little brown starting to form. It’s awesome! Bed of brown rice and steamed veggies. Way better for the older guys trying to stay healthy! Lol I’m in a preventative mode! Lol

Don't care for lemon pepper , but I do the same thing with any number of Cajun seasonings in the pantry.

Some corn tortillas and peach salsa make for a great fish taco.

One of my favorite ways is to blacken it. Half a stick of butter, dust heavily with tony chachere spice n herb, cook it in a cast iron skillet on high.

I like mine with fresh pico from the garden, avacado, and queso fresco right next to the seasoned fried taters from the garden!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I blacken as well. Wife cant handle the grease. Instead of butter, I use a very minute amount of olive oil to make the blacken seasoning stick.

My wife uses an electric grill mat she bought at walmart,..a 'Yoshi grill mat' in the as seen on tv department.
Yes yellow squash, She sprinkles black pepper and a cajun seasoning she gets at Cabelas on the fish, cooks about 3 min on each side.
The squash is in the oven, 400*@ 15 min, on a cookie sheet with nonstick foil and olive oil. Black pepper and cajun seasoning too..
Light on calories and great on flavor. Thats the fat boy special...hehe. thumb

Grill poblanos, cut lengthwise and create ‘boats’…add a couple filets, top with diced tomatoes, onions and cilantro, a small squirt of lime and salt/pepper to taste. Wrap in foil, bake 350 for 45 min.
