Early morning top water bite is the best there is. Finally was able to get into some good size fish. Plus it was on one of my favorite lures of all time...the BUZZ BAIT!

Cool video. When I have a fish miss a buzz, I throw back immediately to the same spot with a weightless senko or fluke. They usually eat the weightless

Cool video. When I have a fish miss a buzz, I throw back immediately to the same spot with a weightless senko or fluke. They usually eat the weightless You know, I had a whacky rig on the kayak and tried that a few times with no luck. I should have been more consistent though with trying that. One of those blowups was a nice fish and I wish I would have thrown in the whacky rig. Thank you for the input, I will need to remember that for next time.

We just had a 3 day trip where the buzzbait bite was insane. They crushed it all 3 days.

We just had a 3 day trip where the buzzbait bite was insane. They crushed it all 3 days. I am not sure why specifically, but the buzz bait is my favorite top water to throw. What colors were you using? Were they hitting it only in the AM or PM?
