Stop and see James at Falcon Lake Tackle in Zapata. He's not afraid to put you on fish.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

We fished a small local tournament this past Saturday . Fishing was a bit slow for us but managed about a dozen or so, Just no big ones. We fished to North end of the lake which is usually good for us, but fished moved out of the spots I usually fish. I would try the area around the dam to mm 3 with big cranks, fish the ledges and look for brush piles hit those with plastics. There is a bunch of them around the steep drops. Concentrate on rock banks . Winners of the event fished the south end and each had a kicker up to 8#. Winning bag was 16.85,2nd had 14.95 and third had 12.55 for three fish limits. It was slow for everyone and these guys know the lake well. good luck they are out there somewhere!!

Not recent knowledge but, 3/4 double willow leaf spinnerbaits slow rolled over deep brush or any grass used to be pretty consistent. Also big 10-12" worms too
