I'd recommend going to microskiffs.com They usually are very open to sharing guides and other information for fishing in Florida. I've gathered a lot of intel there for my Florida DIY trips in the past. I think there's even a guide or 2 on site for the Miami area. Tight lines & Have Fun!!

Monster Mike is a YouTube and Instagram famous peacock guide in Miami. If you're into that sort of thing, he's good at putting people on good fish. https://youtube.com/c/MonsterMikeFishing Info@monstermikefishing.com

I fished there about 10 years ago , I can't remember the guides name. Be advised , the species they have in Miami is NOT the species that gets to 20 lbs. I believe the world record for the species found in Florida is 12 lbs , Florida state record is 9 lbs. , but some claim fish to 12lb have been caught there. The year I was there , the numbers were down due to a very cold winter the year before. It was fun , but the tarpon fishing was much more fun. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/09/full-470-109571-img_0003.png) good luck MO

Ty Henderson(?) on 30 Miles Out and his wife, Teresa, recently did a YouTube video on fishing for Peacocks in Miami. They found some. Worth watching, and maybe sending Ty an e-mail for guidance. They're back in Rockport, where they're kayak/skiff guides. IslandJim

I used HawgHunter guide service when I went caught about 20 in the 1.5 - 5# range, a 4' tarpon on 8# test that broke off, plus the school snook we chased around for awhile, I also caught some large chiclad in the 3 or 4# range. Best fighting fish I caught while I was down there. I stayed at a hotel across from the airport, it wasn't that great but ok , it did have a excellent restaurant. The guide picked me up and dropped me off at the dock behind the hotel. It was a good time.
