Fished with an old friend today from ~12:30 - 5:15p. East dominant wind and pretty overcast most of the day. We had plenty of bites, but we struggled to get them to commit. 1-5 fish per spot and then it was time to move again. Minnows only, fishing as shallow as 12’ and as deep as 30fow. Every fish we caught had to be coaxed into biting- completely different than the way it was last week. 32 on the clicker

Nice trip Josh! at least they didn't have full blown lock jaw, just a little shy. i doubt you have much room in your freezer these days seeing your hauls!

Nice! How are you fishing the minnows? On a jig or plain hook? I had a hard time keeping our minnows alive Sat night on Conroe. We didn’t have anywhere near your success…

Nice trip Josh! at least they didn't have full blown lock jaw, just a little shy. i doubt you have much room in your freezer these days seeing your hauls! Thanks man! I’m down to ~13lbs of fillets in the freezer right now. We cooked close to 30lbs in July, and ~15lbs in August. This sack of fish went home with my buddy. Nice! How are you fishing the minnows? On a jig or plain hook? I had a hard time keeping our minnows alive Sat night on Conroe. We didn’t have anywhere near your success… You can see my exact set up in my earlier post “… biggest fish ever.” I think the “pro” method is a plain Aberdeen style hook, but I’ve had a lot of success fishing them on jig heads with nothing but a minnow on it. I had a buddy who got me into crappie fishing and that’s how he taught me to do it. I’ve just stuck with it. If I had livescope and/or better electronics I would go with an Aberdeen hook and a weight.
