Years ago, it was great in the summer at Grapevine I fished from just before day break until about 10 am. Cleaned up on black bass and crappie with minnows and jigs.
Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโs a storybook, man.โ

The best is November roughly. About the same time they show up in the creeks. I have caught them good in every month in marinas though, it just changes year to year based on conditions.

Texoma is bar far the best I have ever been on. Can catch good size crappie year round. I'm also on a slip at 121 Marina. It's good winter till late May. I'm thinking about giving it a whirl this weekend.

When the wind is blowing like crazy out of the north, and you can't feel your hands. That's when you go catch a limit in 45 min.

I loved pier 121 back in the day. It was great.
Big Mineral on Texoma was ok but not deep enough.
I'd like to get in on a Ray Robert's slip but it's not in the cards.

What're some of the best marinas for crappie? What're some of the best marinas for crappie? High View Marina at Lake Bardwell in Ennis is a good one. Plenty of brushed areas up and down dock, 2 enclosed Crappie houses, boat stalls and well stocked tackle store. I think they carry more crappie jigs than any Big Box store.

Hey Brian - let us know how you do in the slip. There are some fish in there. Caught some keepers on minnows 10-12ft down. A lot of short bite even on minnows, they would swim sideways with it.
