Man! Fishing in the dog days can be pretty hard on new water and types of water that you may not be comfortable for you, but we were able to get out and try out a "pond" with dropping water levels and scratched out some fish. Really couldn't nail down a pattern, but we nailed down enough of one to catch fish through the water body.

I used to have issues catching fish in the summer when I first retired. But, I learned that you just have to change tactics. Last week, I caught a whole cooler full of fish. Found them in a deep slip in a marina under shade.
The fish go somewhere. Use your fish finder and find where they go.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I appreciate the advise and support, PK! This area of the country is definitely new to us up here so we're still trying to learn as much as we can. But hopefully getting better all the time.
