I am thinking about switching to Progressive for boat insurance.

Any opinions of the company and their practices?

TIA

Progressive gives USAA members a discounted rate. I’ve been using them for years, good coverage options at a decent price.

Had a major collision with my boat last year. Someone crossed the line and hit me head on. Long story short, his car ripped the trailer out from under my boat. It slid on the pavement behind my sequoia for about 100 yards. Of course, the moron didn’t have insurance. Progressive was awesome throughout the whole process. My claim was paid in full. No bickering, etc. I also came to them through USAA.

Just had a small accident with my trailer (curb got in the way) and I was expecting an insurance hassle but must compliment Progressive. They were very efficient and fair. I had the check in 10 days.
Now I’m looking for a trailer. I don’t want to mess with repairing my 2006. I have a Ranger Z 22
Any information would be appreciated.

I use Safeco insurance for my boat.. I fortunately have never had to make a claim, so I can't speak on the claim side of things. They are affordable tho
