There are 20 lakes that have different regulations than the ones stated above. Check your lake to make sure you are following your lakes regulations. Regardless of what lake you are fishing it is in the best interest of all current and future anglers to release all fish over 10 lbs so that the next generation of anglers coming up can experience the joy of catching big fish. If we all do our part there will be more Big Fish for trophy anglers which in turn with also provide plenty of eater sized fish for guys to harvest. Keep harvesting big fish and there are fewer eaters. Big fish are prolific breeders and the more of them put back in the lake, the greater number of eater sized fish there will be for harvest. We will be releasing everything over 3-4 lbs on our boat from here on out.

No minimum length requirements on most lakes. There are a few exceptions.

The final new exemption category is a 14-inch minimum length limit and a 15-fish combined daily bag for blue and channel catfish. Locations for this category, which are currently under statewide regulations, are:

Lakes Braunig (Bexar County), Calaveras (Bexar County), Choke Canyon (Live Oak and McMullen counties), Fayette County (Fayette County), and Proctor (Comanche County).

Get a copy of the 2021-2022 Outdoor Annual and start on page 42 for the Statewide Bag and Length Limits for Freshwater Fish then keep going to page 43 thru 46 for the Exceptions to the Statewide rules.
I took a highlighter and marked the lakes I fish for a quick reference. Take Caddo Lake for one, it has Ctfsh 5 and Ctfsh 6 which are way different than the Statewide ones.
