I have a buddy at TCU looking for any kind of volunteer hours related to the fishing community. He said back home in Kansas they had a group that took veterans out fishing and he was looking into something more so like that. Please let me know if anything you know of and I will pass the info along!

There's a tournament going out of Palestine in the next couple of weeks I believe for veterans that was looking for boat captain volunteers I think. I might have saw that on facebook. I'm not sure what the service hour requirements are. You could always reach out to Game Wardens, or Bass Champs/TTO etc... Just depends on what's considered.

Have him PM me if interested. I've been wanting to take kids out from single parent homes and mandatory to have 2 adults. I need to get a camera as well for protection. Too hot this week, but next will be better. I've already contacted my church on this. But my youth pastors wife is fighting cancer so I need to reach out to his assistant. My boats at the marina at Pool so easy to take out for a few hours and I know a great spot to put them on a lot of sand bass. Need something easy for a 10-15 year old to catch. When I retire in a couple of years I'm wanting to make this a big part of retirement. Certainly don't want to just sit around getting old.

The tournament on Palestine is the Combat Recovery Benefit Tournament. It's a great event and they are looking for boaters to pair up with veterans for the tournament coming up on September 11. I'm sure they have other opportunities to volunteer as well.
