So I went out to Boerne this morning and was on the water by 6:30. They didn't have anyone in the guard shack so it was free fishing day for me. Anyways, variable weather but decent fishing conditions. I wasn't able to hook any bass today, but that's typical for me here in the summer. I did see\hear a few splashing this morning, one sounded like it was 3-5 pounds at least and close to me, but I couldn't get any to bite. I did find plenty of sunfish willing to bite, though they are on the small side there. I caught most of them on power maggots and hooked a few gung ho ones on a big spinner and even a spoon that was as big as him. I didn't see any catfish as usual there, for some reason I never see them in this lake except for the one I hooked in the side last year.
