Good day everyone, I am looking to start using a baitcasting combo for trout and reds. Any recommendations for brands, length, action, and lure/line ratings? I typically throw paddletails, twitch baits, topwater, and gold spoons. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you. That is one of the ones I am looking at. Would you describe the action true to its rating or does it lean closer to the lighter or heavier side?

I recently bought the Mojo 7' Light/Medium baitcasting rod, and I love it. Those rods have been sold out for months, but I found one at Tackle Town in Rockport and bought it. I have caught reds to 24" and trout to 20" so far. It's really bendy, but I've had no problems, so far. Maybe the Medium, if you can find one. Good luck! IslandJim
