Todd took Cliff and me out and asked me to make a post about our trip. Cliff and I had just been there on Monday and had a great day, which we shared in an earlier post. I always love to fish with good friends and love fishing Lake Tawakoni, so how could I refuse an invitation to go even though I had just been, and was just back from a trip to Georgetown to see my 6-year old grandson's 1st day of 1st grade. Also, how could we hope to top or do even as well as we did Monday when we caught 234 fish. But Monday had light winds and yesterday it was very windy - and rough in unprotected water. Well, Todd didn't disappoint. He put us on fish time and again. He started out fishing shallow on main-lake points on the west side catching most fish on #4 Mepps and some on #2 and small spoons. We were up to about 60 fish then moved to the south end of the lake waving to the Dreamteam as we passed by their spot. Todd then put us on fish on a main-lake hump fishing 12 to 18 fow. Like the first spot, we caught a bunch of huge white bass, and Cliff managed to pull in the lone Hybrid for the day. Then Todd checked deeper water near the dam for signs of more big fish with hopes of drifting A-rigs through them, but he didn't see enough to stop for. We resorted back to fishing for the big white bass again and Todd found them on the east side on two main-lake drop-offs and a main-lake hump. On the hump, we caught about half on a #4 and half on a #2 Mepps. Overall for the day, the 4 outfished the 2. We started at 10 AM and finished at 7 PM ending up with 257: 244 white bass, 11 eating-size yellow bass, the hybrid, and a cat. Here is a collage of pictures Todd took of the trip: ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/167x288q90/r/924/77mxST.jpg)

Great write up, Dennis. Thanks! My confidence goes up another notch whenever DC and Cliff are on my boat. They made my job reel easy, just find em and they will wind em We checked 9 spots and found good fish on 7, what a blessing on a 20 mph wind day! We left em biting at each spot so we can go check the next spot in the game plan. The sandies at Twok are stout and off the chart good IMO, for sizes and number. These sandies can easily win tournaments at other lakes IMO. The hybrid Cliff caught was a feisty, fatty 24 incher that ran circles around my net Lol. This trip was the first ever where we had frozen ice-cream bars, that DC brought as a surprise treat. He kept it in dry ice and the bars were frozen solid the entire trip, and needed thaw before consume LOL. Ice-cream in August hit the spot! Thanks DC! Chef Cliff made some manly-sized, delicious sandwiches as well. Yum! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/08/full-11240-108304-20210820_131737.jpg)

Todd you know I have a very personal relationship with ice-cream. That is why you just waved and did not stop! Looks like we were all blessed again. Have fished this lake since 81. It never ceases to amaze the quality and quantity of the fish. Was the main reason we bought a place here. The fish. Case in point. A new buddy called yesterday. They were struggling. He asked me to jump on. I prayed Lord show us some fish. There was a five year old boy on the boat. I had to get him his first fish. We did! I shot a video that is just priceless! That is what it is all about. The friendships. All I know is this is a great fishery. And we are all blessed!

Great haul by the Dream Team! Saw yall were catching good and didn't want to crowd... and also Frank is on a no ice-cream. diet. Next time ill come over when i have diet, sugar free, lowfat, slimfast ice-cream. Lol. Great seeing everyone! FYI- the Dream Team did great in "finicky August" without using Mepps. There are other options out there

LOL! Next time cast a Klondike bar to me... I would never tell Kathy! I just love this lake. I am off this week. My nephew and his two boys arrive today for a week. They love to fish. I love to take them! Peace.

cliff shot Cliff, the red Rho boat in the pic above belongs to Gene, The Champion Fish. Planokeith has a new Nautic also. Nautics Star are good boats. Almost as good as my Bluewave Purebay
