If you wanted to get away from the ski boats what lake would you go to in the DFW area to fish? Lets say within a hour and half drive. Im open for suggestions!

White Rock or Bachman may be your only two options.

Ray Bob is pretty ski free north of the trees and Joe Pool south of the bridge on the east side.

I don’t think it’s a question of what lake…but what day. Unfortunately you’re going to be hard pressed to find anything outside of a weekend during the day right now. Just being honest.

Just go fish at dark or early morning on any lake...the lake crusaders usually show up around 10-11 AM after their white claw hangovers start to subside.

Or you can wait about a month and the traffic will be null...after Labor Day most lakes start to slow down pretty good.

Lake Clark in Ennis. It's a real small grass lake, but skiing and jet skis are not allowed. Bring braid. Pretty good chance you will run into Steez out there.
