Using Navionics, is it safe to use contoured creek or river beds to navigate though trees? My thinking is that they are the deeper parts of lake and no trees in them, only on the sides. Is that a safe place to travel on any unknown body of water? Thanks

Easy answer....NO!

There's no safe way to navigate these creeks once you past the tree line markers (telephone poles)

It's best to idle and and stay in the deeper water and use your sight to stay in the less tree paths. This works good for the most part, but there's always danger lurking below.

I have several "lanes" that I use in some creeks but I still idle as I've bumped a few things when the water is lower.
