Since my boat is in the shop, and my new house by Conroe is delayed due to material shortages, I decided to finally make some brush tops from some old PEX and PVC I had laying around. This is my first design, but I'm open to suggestions if you have any ideas. I have 5 similar to the one in the picture ready to go, but may want to change up the design to make them more effective.

Instead of PVC for the main stem use a piece of 4x4 wood with holes drilled in it. Use a hardwood of some type. PVC limbs with a wood stem works better

Those look good, especially the second picture. That gave me some ideas for the next round. Being a plumber, I have a pretty much endless supply of scrap pipe and plan on loading some spots on Conroe. How long after you sank them are you catching fish on them? I was thinking of putting some fish food from the pond in the vertical trunks and cappi g them to let it seep out through the small holes in the side to draw bait fish quicker.

If you sand the PVC or rough it up another way, it will be productive quicker. The rough spots will start growing moss and algae a lot faster than the slick spots.
