What’s the best treble for punch bait to keep it on? I been using a #6 plain and it works fine I just can’t get a lot on there and keep it on. If I upside hook my hook up ratio goes down.

We use #4 with Stubby’s bait and catch 200-800 fish per week depending on how many trips I have.

I usually start off with a 6 and if they're getting it deep, I'll switch to a 4. I prefer the 4 when doable. Typically using Sureshot. No issues.

I fish for channel cats off my dock for fun, and when I have friends over with kids, etc. Moved from #6 up to #4's and reduced some of the little dinks. Might miss a few more, but probably because they were too small to get in their mouth.
Also less gut hooked with #4. Holds little more bait also. I like CJ's punch bait. Want to try some stubbys sometime also.

#6 4x treble,if your bait ie getting hot put it in the cooler. Also add a little corn starch.flour, and what I use is wheat glutein
