What is a good boat trailer hitch that's easy to unhook and hook up? I used to have hydraulic surge brakes but I took all guts out of it. Wanting to get regular hitch because I don't fully trust the one I have now.. any suggestions on good brand or model would be appreciated. I did try to search on here with no luck.

They all seem a little sketchy. The one on my 2021 Skeeter trailer seems pretty solid. I’ve had most types at one point in time. This one doesn’t clunk as bad as others I’ve had.
Other than the winch and jack saying Fulton F2, the only other markings are SkeeterBuilt. I don’t think they make this hitch in house. Im sure it’s outsourced.

I use what I call a bulldog hitch. I have one on all my trailers. They can be found in most hardware and farm supply stores. Last forever and if you get close, it will drop on the ball.

Another option (cheaper) run a 1/2 in bolt through the coupler where the slide is. Between the thick steel pin that's built in and the steel bolt you put through right behind it, there will not be any sliding of the coupler and you're good. I bought this lockout key for my trailer. These magnets are strong! You could also slap two of these on both sides of that slide and be done with it. Lockout Key on Amazon

I did this when I gutted the hitch so that there isn't no movement. But all the parts inside kinda scares me. I've been using it like this for a year now but want a new one so I don't have to worry about it.
