Can anyone tell me when the hell 2022 model aluminum boats will start to become available in Texas? Any brand? I am sick to death of the you can't get here from there attitudes I get from the dealerships. How in the hell do they stay in business if they don't sell boats?

Quit using dealers. There's several very well, actually superior hulls you just buy direct. Empire, Scandy White and 5th lake are the first that come to mind. All are far better hulls than anything a dealer would try to shove at you.

None of the brands you mentioned have a web address that I could find.

I appreciate your opinion Pat but I'm retired and living on a Civil Service retirement check and Social Security. I'm not made of money.... Hmmm let me ask you.... Should I buy an overly expensive (for my needs) boat or make payments on my home? Hmmmm difficult decision. Maybe I could convince my family to stop eating.....

Not all of us can afford such an extravagance. My budget might handle a good low hours used very basic aluminum hull or a cheap new one. All I want is an aluminum preferably V hull that can handle my 280 lbs and my 20hp motor. A custom built to spec boat sounds great and if I could afford it I'd probably be on it. But honestly I just want to get on the water and do some recreational fishing without worrying that a passing kayak doesn't create a wake that will swamp the boat I'm in.

P.S. I don't use Facebook or any other "social media" platform, so I can't open the other link you sent me. As a matter of fact.... This forum is the closest I come to social media.

No need to be condescending. Pat isn't a mind reader, he is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable guys on this forum. Maybe next time lead with you are looking for a economy model.

P.S. Learn to use the internet instead of asking others for help, especially if you're going to be a jerk.

No problem dude.
Didn't think I needed my mind reading hat for your request.
If you want detailed answers, ask detailed questions.

I have a 15 foot 1986 Alumacraft with a 1976 25HP Johnson motor that I'm going to sell if you just need something cheap to get on the water. Asking $2200. I bought it 3 weeks ago and it needed a little work. Me and my buddy went thought the motor and it has new fuel tank, new fuel line, new fuel pump, cleaned carbs, new spark plugs, new impeller and seals, lower unit gear oil changed. Running like a top now. Only trying to sell it because a boat I have been trying to buy for months is finally for sale and I'm picking it up on Thursday

Pat,

I hope you will accept my most sincere and humble apology. I came online in a foul mood (something I should not ever do) so I have no real excuse. I am truly sorry for crossing the line from smart to dumb A$$. I hope you can believe that I'm really not normally like that.

Be well

Steve Bob

Kinda looking like a sellers market for sure on used aluminum boats. I would imagine the price for used aluminum boats have gone up - less gas and affordable?

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.
