Looking for a LONG casting rod... Casting good sized poppers and buck tails as far as possible... Got a good reel now looking for a solid rod... Preferably like 3 piece, two at a minimum... Not scared of a long rod haha
Looking for SOLID and usable but on a working man budget
Let me clarify... It's a SPINNING ROD, but for casting... Not right lining off the beach

Let me clarify... It's a SPINNING ROD, but for casting... Not right lining off the beach Star makes some good rods. I had a 9foot that I paired with a penn slammer that you could really throw! I would think somthing 8 to 9 ft. If you get to long it gets pretty cumbersome to control and enjoy.

And if ya chunk a heavy enough weight etc.,on a LONG rod, you just may pop about 1 foot off the tip....9 ft is enough. UGLY STICK may have 2 pc. rods.
