Anyone been to Rayburn lately? Thinking about taking my son next weekend and was wondering how things are right now. Don’t need spots just wondering if you guys are catching them.

Someone is always catching them on Rayburn. Offshore guys that spend a lot of time out there graphing and searching typically have places they can pull up to on most days to catch them on Carolina Rigs or Dropshots but the "spots" are so acute that their reports won't do you any good. We are catching 50-100+ a day right now on guide trips offshore but the trick is I don't stop unless I see them on the Lowrance unit. It is a big lake and there is always someone catching them shallow too. Swimjigs, traps, squarebills, chatterbaits, senkos, etc will work almost year round IF you know where to throw them. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-45060-115220-tff_booking_banner.png)

It fished tough on me Saturday, I struggled to catch 5. Results on the TTZ are up. http://ttz1.com/Results imply it may not be fishing that great right now.

I had two classes/guide trips this week before the storm and we absolutely slaughtered them out deep. 100+ bass on Sunday and 60+ bass on Monday. Of those, over half of them were legal keepers each day. The biggest fish we had each day was pushing 4lbs but we would have probably had 16lbs each day without hunting a big bite. Tail spinners, Carolina Rigs, Ned Rigs, Spoons and Dropshots all produced. Honestly it really didn't matter what you threw but we had to do a lot of graphing and then stop and pound on them when we would see them on the Lowrance Side Imaging. This big cold front will shake things up a bit however we had a really hot October. Last Thursday, water temps were in the mid 70's and on Monday before we loaded up the gauge was reading 80 degrees. That is still really warm for the last week of October. This bite should last for the next couple of months as it is now just beginning. I've got open days in November and December if you are interested in getting in on this action or learning how to hunt fish offshore. The top image is from Monday of one school we found and the bottom image is from a different one. I initially thought that they were white bass when i saw them out there at 120' but they were primarily largemouth. I've got to edit it still but I have some crazy good Active target video from the past couple of days as well. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-45060-115907-mega_school_1.png) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-45060-115908-mega_school_2.png)
