New data from the United States Department of Agriculture [USDA] suggests that white-tailed deer across certain U.S. states have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The news comes as scientists attempt to learn more about how the virus affects different species of mammals, in addition to humans.
Can you get Covid from eating an infected animal? Should we start vaccinating deer? Cancel deer season?

If any of you fellows are ranchers, and you need help eradicating 150 class white tail or larger. I will rid that covid spreading beast off your place with my trusty .243

If any of you fellows are ranchers, and you need help eradicating 150 class white tail or larger. I will rid that covid spreading beast off your place with my trusty .243 They may not be safe to eat, or even be around, so the season may be canceled. A .243 is too small for whitetail anyway.

I swear last fall all my raccoons were hacking along with my cat. Only one raccoon still coughs but my cat never got over it and now I've got to give it half a claritin every day to help him out. Vet prescribed the dosage.

So after reading this and assuming it's true it brings up a question. What happens if and when it gets to the cattle industry? Testing before they're safe to eat maybe? Think of the added cost...

This could be interesting, deer with covid, 243 being too small for deer, info comes from MSN, it was mentioned deer season may cancel, this thread is showing a little potential.
