The sunfish bite has been extremely good on certain water bodies that me, Rick aka Catyakker, and good friend Steve have been fishing. There are however certain water bodies that the bite has been very slow. On the water bodies (mainly creeks) that been producing good quality numbers of sunfish, we have been catching Bluegill, Redear, and Hybrid sunfish. Fish have been in the 8 to 11 inch range. Catching plenty in the 9 to 10 inch range. Fish were caught in 4 to 7 feet of water, in thick grass beds. Float and bottom techniques were used, with most fish being caught using worms. A few of our catch was kept for the dinner table with most fish being released. Catching a hand full of slabs with friends. It just don't get any better.
