I have always wanted a T-top since i got my blue wave pure bay in 2017, I have been looking at the fishmaster pro t-top since it will tilt forward to get into my carport & also get under bridges when needed. My concerns are, are they solid with no wiggle & will this eventually get loose and crack the floor of the boat & the center console where it would be attached? Would love to here yalls pros and cons thanks in advance.

I have thought about it as well. Since my goal is often to stay in a position over fish with my spotlock, i decided that having a small sail on my boat might make it more difficult. They look nice and i'm sure someone who has one has a lot of pro's, but i decided to not get one.

I have a 20 ft bay boat center console with a T-top and have spotlock to fish over brush for crappie with no problem on staying on spot even in high winds 15-20 mph. The shade is limited to wind and sun position but always nice when it works out. Only issue is height as mine is 8 ft 6in on trailer and wont fit under a few bridges or pipelines but works great for me. Good luck Fishing!

The only problem with a tee top is it gets in the way when trying to cast. Fishing straight down, it is great.

Installation is key. Make sure braces are part of the equation. Once they begin to wiggle , repair seems elusive . They are worth the trouble . Cruising in the shade or fishing in mid day , t-top is a must.

I have had both a t top and bimini top. I prefer the bimini top. T top and wind decreased my top speed. It was also a towing nightmare. Bimini top take me 3 mins to have shade all day long then 5 mins to make the long run home. I can take it off for the other 3 season of the year.

I had the the Fishmaster T-top. It was great. Do not drive with it folded down...I only did that once, LOL.

I have one on my Skeeter SX220. I bought the boat used so I’m not sure of the brand but assume it’s a “Fishmaster T Top”. It does get in the way and I cant go under low bridges that I used to be able to go under with my bass boat, but the shade is really nice. It also adds nice handles to hold onto while underway. It does fold forward and I can do it by myself in about 5 minutes. I'll try to post a pic in a few minutes

Thanks for all the input, i do not bass fish, mainly crappie and catfish with the occasional trip to the coast, think im going to cut the size of it on a piece of cardboard to see if and how much it will be in the way of casting off the front deck, again thanks for the input

Casting isn't a problem for the person on the front deck. Every one else will have a problem. Fishing for whites, hybrids, ect or casting for reds or trout could be an issue. Since you are crappie fishing primarily, there's no shade on the front deck. Would seem OK for drifting for cats since you can sit under the t-top. Otherwise, for me, it's a lot of expense and other issues for a small amount of shade.

If I had to buy one, I'd do a Bimini top. Covers more of the boat and fully retractable when not needed.
