anyone been? How long should I expect to spend there? We're going to NYC in just over a week and this is the only thing I want to see. We will be in the city for two days then up in Rome for 3 then I'm fishing the St. Lawrence river one day then back to the city for a day and a half.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Yes. I always describe it as the quietest museum/memorial you will ever visit. 2hrs min if you can handle it. It has some heart breaking pictures and videos that can be disturbing. Rather than thinking about the scumbag cowards that flew the planes, I left with an amazing appreciation for those that tried to save strangers and those that died that day.
It’s an amazing visit but again, tough and sad at the same time.

**the waterfall exhibit outside is unbelievable, while considering where you are standing it’s a lot to take in

Yes we went right after it opened in 2016. Plan a half day and bring Kleenex. It’s a must do. I have a bunch of pictures. Here’s one.

I agree with the 2 hours being a minimum and a half day being better.

Been there myself and agree, plan on a half a day. It's a LOT to take in.

Its pretty long if you wanna read the letters from al quadia some parts can be pretty moving as one exibite is about 6 floors compressed to about 2-3' and has human remains imbedded in it im pretty sure if you wanted to read everything 40hrs isnt enough time.
