Me and my wife are meeting our middle daughter and her two boys next month for a week. Rented a condo
at the Holiday Vacation Club in Flint, Tx. Any places around there you all recommend to eat? Preferably bbq, burgers, catfish, etc. Also thinking about bringing my bass boat over there. I know it will be hot but thought about fishing early morning and late afternoons. Donโ€™t know anything about the lake. Is it worth pulling my boat that far to fish Palestine? Thanks for your replies.

Wades Place in nearby Chandler has the best seafood this side of the Gulf.

The Smoke Monkey on 155 headed towards Tyler has some good bbq. Their brisket and sausage are pretty good. It can be hit or miss but when it is good, it is good. It is on the Flint side near the Brookshires.
