Don't know how fast we were going but we were passing boats that left 3 or 4 flights ahead of us. Ran into him some months later and he had a different boat. When I asked, he said he got many complaints about others in the tourneys he fished that he must be overpowered. Turns out he had a worked over 225 under that cowling and either had to quit fishing tournaments or get another boat. He said that Skeeter was clocked at 94.

Back in 1988-1990 one of our customers had a Skeeter Starfire 175 that had a 235 Evinrude on the back with a smaller number on the cowl for whatever the boat was rated.

I don't remember how fast he said it was but it would get from Broaddus to wherever on Rayburn pretty fast. bolt

Best I can remember the guys name was Don something. He took that motor off the Starfire and put it on a Skeeter Metro. That boat killed him when he flipped it.

Seems fairly believable. I didn’t see any ranger owners claiming to have hit 60.

76 in my PHX, only once as I was just curious to see what it could do. Now I know.

I don't know but it was with James Biggs on Lewisville last year. Faster than I felt comfortable.

Upper 70’s with a buddy in his Triton. I’ve hit 69 but that’s it for me personally.

Internet boat speeds.
Hmmm.
Well it FELT like we were doing 90.
Want to know how much effort it takes to run 80? Way more than you think it does.
Just remember, 10% prop slip is EXCEPTIONAL, very very few bass boats can do it.

75 mph. Never feel comfortable above 60 or so. Was nearly thrown from a boat once trying to push things and that was enough of a lesson for me.

I really don't know but my brother has been 170+. I'm too chicken to go that fast. He was 155mph at 1,000 feet but the throttle stuck. He almost soiled himself. I've done 120 in his Triad but I wasn't driving so probably doesn't count. The ol' Ballistic is still 88.8 and that was the first few months of ownership. I rarely feel like I have the right water to do 80+ anymore but maybe that's my gray hair talking.

My bass boat driving skills hit the wall at 86 MPG driving an Allison with a 300 ProXS. No trolling motor, no gear maybe 10 gallons of gas. It would accelerate faster than I could read the numbers on the GPS. I could not drive it any faster without learning what "washing the rub rails" meant LOL. I've had the opportunity to drive some pretty fast bass boats over the years. Everything seems to change about 80 MPH. 70 in a 18'er is WAY different than 70 in a 20'er. My hats off to the guys in the triple digits!
