I’m considering getting a kayak to chase crappie and perhaps double up as a kayak to float the rivers in Arkansas for smallies. Basically looking to sit on top and a nice balance of storage, stability and somewhat budget friendly. Suggestions along with price and purchase location would be appreciated.

Check these out... then find a dealer in your area to see them in person. There are a lot more good brands but those are some of my favorites for kayaks that do a lot of things well for many different types of fishing. All are recognized brands. Good luck!

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

make sure you test drive it first. if you are buying higher end. i would not spend that money on a quality yak without a test drive.
