I have a little 8’ runs shallow and a 5hp tiller. Would there be anything wrong with this setup in Galveston East Bay? Kayakers run the flats and marshes that’s what I’m planning on doing. I’ve had it middle of lakes with less than favorable winds and felt safe.

Heck yeah! This is me and pops leaving Jupiter Florida on our way over to the Bahamas. Pops had just lost a big tuna before taking this picture .. broke his dang rod!

Nothing wrong with it as long as you use common sense.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.
