will the lowrance elite 7hdi work with the motorguidexi5 with built in transducer

If you are talking about adding the MG transducer to the Elite yes if an adapter cable is avail from MG. If you are talking about controlling the MG with the unit only Lowrance Elite TI to FS and HDS Lives can do that.
