heading out to the river legacy paddling trail this weekend and i was wondering if fishing was good around that area? ill be heading out Saturday afternoon and I'm mainly looking to catch smaller sunfish, bass, crappie and maybe some catfish on my ultralight setup. would love some tips, or other places to go for around a 4-hour loop near Dallas. I appreciate any tips as this is my first-time kayak fishing!

I have thought about fishing that area but never have...

ended up not going since waterflow was too high and lots of mud. also, that section of the river has a consumption warning and heard some real bad stuff about the water. I'm heading out to Eisenhower state park some time soon though.

just don't eat them
