Just made my first ever trip to Port A. Hauled my 17' boat and stayed up near the public launch at a place called Captain's Quarters. I found out this place was not named that because it was designed for boaters. Parking a boat on the trailer almost did not happen. I drove around and almost every hotel was the same, tight parking. With all the folks hauling boats to fish, are there hotels/lodging that are boat trailer parking friendly? Hard to rent a house when I am going solo 2-3 days. Just wondering if anyone knows places like this, just a clean place to stay and easily park a boat trailer?

Captain's Quarters was built and managed by the same people that owned Dolphin Docks back in the day. Not sure it is now. It was built primarily to cater to the fisherman and families that were going out and fishing on their boats.

Some of the larger condo establishments have parking lots big enough to accommodate a truck with trailer, but they will not have any hook ups.

Kom Tiki near Fulton has plenty boat/trailer parking and some condos have their own dockage.

We are always going to Plantation House... they do a good job providing room for trailers/boats. Might have parked he boat there a few times and stayed elsewhere once or twice before as well huh

Beautiful fish. How was the La Quinta? I haven’t stayed there for years and have had mixed reviews on it lately.

We are going to stay at Captains Corners tomorrow night. Going on a boat trip on Saturday.

During the summer rates are high. We are paying almost $300 for two queen beds. After labor day the rates go down to under $100.
There is room on the parking lot for two boats unless cars park there first.

Check out Bluffs Landing Marina, located on the laguna madre on the south side of corpus close to packery channel. We stayed there late July, great rooms, great marina, fine launch, great fish cleaning station, reasonable prices, all in one location. [Linked Image]

If you're willing to stay in Rockport, check out Drifter's resort. Cabanas and Cabins that have boat parking and water/electrical for the boat.
