There will be a benefit bass tournament for the family of Marc Rider. It will be September 4, 2021 from 6:30am-2:30pm on Lake O' The Pines at Cedar Springs Ramp. Entry is $50 per person. Skeeter is supplying Temple Fork Outfitter rods at $50 each and donating all proceeds to the family! Since it will still be hot each boat is limited to one 3-fish stringer. It doesn't matter if there is one or more people in the boat. I will pay 3 places plus big bass. I will guarantee a $1,000.00 payout for 1st place! There will be a raffle for some nice prizes like a Pit Boss pellet grill, Yeti coolers, free guide trips and more! Marc was only 46 years old and left behind a wife and 2 children. He was an investigator at the Upshur County Sheriff's Office and loved baseball and fishing. I am asking you to come out and fish this event, but more importantly, help us show love and support for this family. I have already left some entry forms at East Texas Sonar in Longview and ABC Auto in Gilmer. I will post more information as I get it.

There are also entry forms at Shipp's Marine in Gladewater, and at Nichols Marine in Longview.

Sorry for late reply. I’ve been telling everyone to just pay at ramp. Going by conversations I’ve had it looks to be a bunch. Team Bass is bringing their trailer to do the weigh in so I’m sure some of their teams will fish too.

We now also have a custom built AR15, deer feeder, and some guided fishing trips added to the raffle! If you want to come by my office before the tournament to buy a rod or get raffle tickets just call me ahead of time and I’ll make sure I’m there 903-790-1342

Well, it's time folks! Lots of people have worked hard to get this event ready for tomorrow. Lots of prizes to give away in the raffle and a food truck will be on site with pulled pork sandwiches and drinks. Even if you don't fish come out and bring a lawn chair and watch the weigh in and be part of something that will warm your heart when it's over!
