Fished FCL with doc today from 7am until the lightening ran us off the lake at 3 pm. Rained on us most of the way home. Water temp in the low 90s and very light winds all day. Main goal today was to get at least 2 hours on the new motor, but couldn't resist chasing our little buddies that swim around there for a bit. The bite was really excellent today & we ended up catching a couple hundred. Noticed bass following the bluegill up and swiping at them in the morning as we were reeling them in...so tied on a swimbait and made it swim like an injured fish & got the 4+ pounder in the pic...pretty exciting. GREAT to be back in action after missing a week or two. [Linked Image]

Great post and some super fish pictures as always. Good job guys. thumb

Side Note: Love the boat! flehan Also I have had the bass following my Bluegill as well. Even getting a good fight when I let them grab a few. Had a huge one on for about five minutes before it decided it had enough and simply spit my small hook out. For July the temperatures have been pretty good. coolio

Great to be out on the lake with Steve today after my 4 week drought due to illness and other assorted things.
Today was a day where the Weatherman was actually RIGHT on the weather for Fayette. Very little wind
all day which is a rarity on this lake ! Lake often like glass.

Chuck...Yes, it has been a really odd weather year with all the rain & cooler temps. Everything is so green instead of the usual mid July brown. Lovin it !
Thanks Curtis & SK for the comments...
