So I am looking for a spinner bait that can stand up to so rough fishing conditions. Lots of hang up so I Need a hook that won’t break if you have to bend it back and few times. And one where the wire can hold it shape. And survive tough conditions
Too many spinner baits break and come apart
Don’t say war eagle. Because I break more hooks on war eagles than any bait I know They make a good spinner bait. But not a tough one
Thoughts?

Oldham. You will break your rod before you break that hook.

Hooks are one thing but the wire to the top is normally thinner for it to vibrate more. I don't care if I ruin a couple spinnerbaits during a days fishing if it also gets me a few more bites.
May 4, 2023 Once again, I agree with you.

Gotcha on the wire Allison1. And agree it’s key ….that vibration. But then again I want one that I can put back in shape more that once

First thought would be a musky spinnerbait.

I've never broken or even bent a hook on a spinnerbait in 40 years of throwing them. (And I will throw them I to any kind of cover) Wire is a whole different conversation. I primarily use either Santone or Stanley but I do get tired of breaking the wire on a Santone and it has cost me money on more than one occasion.

Accent River Special. I hung a 30+ lb Buffalo on a 1/2 oz tandem with a 7’3 Heavy rod, drag locked down. Fought the beast in, shook the spinner bait off with pliers and all I had to do was re-tune the arm. They’re durable but also dang good spinnerbaits as far as getting bites. They’re my go to and I’m particularly fond of the purple crush color but you have to buy it direct. They almost always run sales around the holidays.
