I was hoping a week of cooler, wet weather would change up the fishing dynamics at my favorite lake, and it did a bit. I finally caught a crappie after fishing here about 20 times. I also saw a dead crappie in the same area of the lake where I had never seen any before. Managed to catch a little bass on a green, rubber, fish jig too, he really hammered it. Lost another bass and a catfish. One fisherman told me he caught 16 bass, though I didn't see anyone land any. I heard another complaining that he "only caught 7", but I'm glad I at least didn't get skunked.

Did your favorite lake benefit any from the recent rains we had lately?

It wasn't visibly much affected from the rains, maybe visibility was down a bit.

Looks like Canyon Lake....need to go up there soon!
