So headed down in a couple of months and want to have a few things ready. Not really targeting anything specifically all around combo is on the list something. I can cast some lures and toss some live/cut baits. I was looking at a used Daiwa DXSB swim bait rod 8ft xtra heavy with a Shimano cardiff 300a but I’d like a 2pc rod for the ride. Also looking at getting me one box with a few things to tote around spoons, hooks, leaders any suggestions on what else I should get or need?

Look up my son on Facebook. Bite and Fight Angler. He makes soft plastic lures. His website is also biteandfightangler.com . He has lots of videos on YouTube. I took a trip to the Galveston area a couple of weeks ago. We were able to fish together for several days. I brought home a cooler full of speckled trout, flounder, and redfish.
He can put you on the fish.
