OK, so I'm leaning more towards saying the spawn is over. I know you can't put a time or date on it but it seems there is a time when you stop catching nothing but dinks and eaters and you start to get quality fish again. This weekend has marked that for us on Lavon. I fished Friday and skipped yesterday so when Nana got home this morning, the boys and I loaded up and headed to the lake. Friday was a pretty good outing. Today, I really wasn't expecting much. The storm came through overnight, the wind shifter to out of the west, and we didn't get bait caught until about 11:30. So by the time we started soaking baits it was officially the hour of suck as Catfish Dave calls it. Well, 10 minutes in, rod goes down. Nice fun sizer, around 10 pounds. Get the rod baited up and back in the water and the same rod goes down again, this time a 15 and while we were getting him to the boat we get a double with a dink. So after the 3 fish on the first short drift I thought hey, not bad. Lets run that again. We did and picked up another 10 and a dink. Wind was blowing us fast, with the drift sock out, we were still at .9 to 1.1 at times. Moved to the east side of the trees and started one last drift and picked up another 10 pounder. For only being on the water a couple hours we had a pretty good time...Jer was looking a little green by the time we called it a day. The motion was starting to get to him...

That will work! Nice job.
I feel for the little man... sea sick is not fun. Happened to me once on the ocean during a bad storm, guys put on life jackets bad lol... did not feel so bad because 90% of the guys were getting sick so I was not the only one. Miserable feeling though.
He will get used to it!

You got that right Tim. I generally will fish when Iโm sick and I had planned to fish Friday night, Saturday morning, and Sunday too but I havenโt made it off the couch with this bug! Jaxon was pretty disappointed about missing the night fishing but thatโs the way the cookie crumbles. Sea sickness is terrible and I feel for you little guy. Iโm lucky I donโt get it even in a hurricane. I keep a box of these bands in my first aid kit for folks that come on the boat who get sea sick. Get you a box and if that boy feels it coming on then give him a pair to put on. I also have a box for adults. Here is a link amigo. Sea sick bands

Never needed these bands. What are they and how do they work? I do think Jer could have used a pair yesterday.

Looks like maybe Gatos link is not working... try this one https://www.amazon.com/ROSENICE-Motion-Sickness-Bands-Acupressure/dp/B07HF5HTFV Seems they hit a pressure point and can help with motion illness? I have seen tablets sold in drug stores that folks say work as well. No personal experience with either but I bet if your feeling sea sick you would be willing to try the bands and the pills!
