Afternoon,

Gonna make a trip to Crystal Beach with the wife and kiddos and take my 20ft bass boat . Looks like the closest ramp is Stingarees but never redfished in the area. Where could I go (or is it even possible) to catch some reds shallow in the grass or marsh? 65lb braid chatterbait kinda fishing? Goat island? Long point? Just what I see on Google maps.....

Any help would be appreciated.

Painted trailer?
You’ll regret sticking it in the salt.

try the north side of the bay, the Anahuac side. marsh grass and small bayous to troll around in. you'll feel right at home bass fishing that area. if you stay in the ICW, head east toward High Island and fish the rocks and sloughs, some bayous there too.

Thank you so much. Yes my trailer is rhino lined. I took it to shell Beach last year and all was well. Spray it off at the end of day and flush the motor. I certainly appreciate the information.
