Are the sandies schooling anywhere on the lake in the mornings? Gonna take a young man that’s limited on life in the morning and just trying to find some fish to pull on his line. Any suggestions are appreciated! Love this forum for the help great people give!!!

Although I haven’t seen any fish schooling on surface lately, I still think y’all should have success. My best two spots have been the very shallow hump about a mile NNW of the island and the long underwater point that is roughly a quarter mile north of Lake View Marina.
I’m using tandem rigged Slab Buddies in the White Shad color and Thump Buddies in the Sausage Gravy color. The good old fashioned Hell Pet rig is also working wonders. All my fish have come from 8-15ft over the last couple of weeks.

Look between pelican island and the Walnut Creek channel to the west.
