So sorry my early morning English was not perfect and really gets you upset . I promise I will try harder just because it upsets you so . And yes in my early childhood we spoke German most of the time .

"is" a lot? Is the primary language something other than English? There are cases the word "lot" can be treated as singular, but this isn't one.

Most appropriate handle on the TFF.

There was a man in my old neighborhood with that name back in the 70's. There were lots of WWII vets in the neighborhood and I don't think any of them had a problem with it.

Augustus is a strong name. If they turn out to be a nice person, people will call them Gus. Everyone likes a person named Gus.

We should all cuss him out in German but he would probably tell us we did it wrong.

PS: My family is mostly German blood and we would never name our children Adolf. There's a few names that you wouldn't use ever and this is one of them.

A few honorable mentions that would never make our family tree: Cain, Damien / Damian, Jesus (because there's only one)

As in Himmler. That'll work.

The letters in Adolf can be rearranged to spell FALDO.

Then that’s perfect. If they are nice they can be called Gus, if they are a Richard, people can call them Adolph. Both bases are covered that way.
