Looks like I have the pro rule. Thanks to the kind lady that pointed out that I should google it.

I'm sure some are aware that the pro rule can be hard on your tilt & trim unit seal. I stopped by the dealer I bought the boat from and the guy that looked at it said "You need to get rid of that and go with something else. The funny part was that was what they gave me when I bought the boat frown I am going to look into this motor mate thang. does it work on a zx225? Maybe I should google it?

Motormate fits the individual motor not the boat: https://motormateusa.com/

Speaking of “google”….try looking up the picture of your Skeeter boat being completely held vertical on a special stand. It is mounted on a BIG steel stand and the transom is COMPLETELY supporting the entire weight of the boat. Looks like it’s on a trailer, but it isn’t. Skeeter boats have an aluminum brace in the transom that is welded to aluminum stringers that run the majority of the length of the hull. It is one of the strongest transom designs of any bass boat. It doesn’t need its transom “saved”. The stuff your are seeing being used are tilt/trim “savers”, if anything. My Yamaha is 18 yrs old. It came with a Yamaha trim shaft stick. Just one. It’s been working for 18 years and hasn’t caused a seal problem, motor mount problem, or a stress crack in the transom.

Wow, which is it Frank? First you say that the old school type are the best. Those attached between the trailer and the lower unit on the motor.
Then you say to use a MyWedgie, and after that you say that you would rather have one that "connects to the transom".
You don't have a brother named Joe do you?? LOL

Me too....LOL, so do you use both at the same time? If not, how do you decide which one you are going to use that day?
