Which motor transom saver are most popular these days. Looking to fit a 2013 Mercury 75 HP 4-Stroke. Looking at the Motor Mate. Thanks

It's a light motor, put it on an old school motor to trailer and be done with it

A Motor Mate is not actually a transom saver. It does hold the motor up while in transit but doesn’t take any stress off the transom. A true transom saver uses the trailer as the focal point of the stress. Just my 2 cents.

Motormate’s are great if they have one that spacifically fits your motor. Been using one for 7 years on my 250xs.

Motormate’s are great if they have one that spacifically fits your motor. Been using one for 7 years on my 250xs. This. Actually the old style transom savers put more stress on the lower unit, the motor mate does not and does plenty to support the transom.

Your transom is under more stress while running in rough water with the boat than going down the road.

The weight of the motor is still on the transom.
