Funny how a Thread starts out asking about Hard-8 BBQ joint ..... turns into a thread guessing which place is BEST.

Everybody's got an opinion.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

I go to the hard 8 in Stephenville about once a month. They got a good grilled ribeye too that’s very fair priced for a decent steak. Your friend might enjoy the ride too- it’s some pretty country. From Aledo it’s about 30-40 minutes.

Haven't had them all, but the best that I've had in the Metroplex is Cattle-Ack in Farmers Branch. At some point, the top tier is so damn good its hard to say what is the "best" but only others I've had in that category are Pecan Lodge (burnt ends) and BBQ on the Brazos (in Cresson) = the best gas station food in the history of "ever". Austin area amazing like: Franklins (brisket), LA (adds a little zing and the grocery store vibe is cool),Styles Switch (best "no wait"), and then Snows (top of the charts in everything).

Not a bad meal, but Hard Eight is a far cry from those lofty perches.

Hard Eights is a joke of a bbq joint. I was working and a customer took me to the one in Coppell (it absolutely sucked, he thought it was great but he's from the northeast)... Next time I got invited to the one in The Colony, it would of been free again and I flat out turned it down.. What does that tell you? How many folks on here said it was good??

I never thought they sucked, its just average. There is far worse BBQ to be had.

Far above average for me because: 1) I have a gift card there; and 2) free beans!!!

I like the Hard 8 in Stephenville. Pricey but not bad. Riley and I were really disappoined with the one in Coppell
