Yep, KVD part II. He seems to be able to catch fish any way he needs to. He finds and catches them better than just about everybody. He needed 5-10 minutes longer to catch KVD on Chic or he would have won 2 in a row and 3 this year. Got to respect how he has taken things to the next level.

Definitely his year, didn’t Evers do basically the same thing a couple years ago? Won the AOY and Redcrest, did all that just make him too busy to concentrate on fishing?

Dude is just freaking intense. Moving with 2 minutes left in period 3. “ There’s no mercy in bass fishing”. He’s. flat out is better than everyone else. Who else threw a Tokyo rig ??

the most impressive thing to me was his picking up on that he could use bigger line and hooks so he didn't have to fight the fish for 3 minutes each to get them in the boat. He got a fish on and got it to the boat quickly, got it weighed and back in the water faster than anybody else fishing. Contrast Ehrler, he played with fish forever before getting them in the boat.. then he would re-tie.. There was no way he was going to win that tourney based on that alone. Panger did a good analysis of his fish catches on Wheeler's day off before the championship round on BTL, and oh yeah.. they interviewed him from the water on Champlain.. he was practicing!
