The Gallatin River in Big Sky is absolutely beautiful and has some good trout fishing. We had success fly fishing. It has some crazy rapids though so be careful! I think it is a popular white water rafting location. If Cooke City is near Big Sky I would check it out.
I believe there is also a river in Yellow Stone which might be closer to you.
Hope you have a good trip!

You will be going through Lamar Valley. Bring your camera and be on the lookout for bears, wolves, sheep, bison etc.
Be safe, Rayzor ![[Linked Image]](http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/pp267/JLedbetter/th_Boatpics036.jpg) 2001 Triton Tx-21/225 Mercury EFI

Butch, Mike here. Just left Yellowstone this evening. Near Cook City you have a lot of fishing opportunities. One that has easy access and quite a few trout id Soda Butte creek. As you re enter the park it is on your left. From the Etry to about 1/2 mile into the Lamar Valley is some of the best fishing on that side of the park. If you'd like more info message me and we can talk. We go to Yellowstone yearly and usually spend a night or 2 in or near Cook City. Tight lines~
