I've used Boatsetter before as the renter.

Boatsetter adds about $75 per rental...to cover insurance (and Boatsetter's fee, maybe). There is a contract that the renter signs that covers who is liable for what. There is a walk-around before and after to check for/document existing damage. My host backed it into the water and I drove the boat off the trailer.
