Fished last week there and while it was still high there was some pretty good fish in the timber and it didn’t take too long to put a good mess together! Dwaine brought his daughter to beat down on some slabs and that’s just what they did! 1/8pz jigs in grey and black and white and chart tipped with a minnow worked best! I have July 20th. Some weekdays after and the last weekend of the month open if you wanna get on some slabs! Palestine and Pines are fishing good and Fork is getting there IMO. Holler if you wanna get on some slabs! Thanks y’all! Wrapping up a couple days of ocean perch fishing! Ready to get back on the crappie! 3 spots on that red - i think that is good luck! nice fish. those reds are some of the best eating in my book. not as good as a crappie but nothing else is either!

We fried up some Sheep head, trout, and a flounder last night and broiled some redfish and a black drum. It was all good but it wasn't crappie! Maybe I'm spoiled! I have July 20th and some days the last week of July and lots of days in August available if anybody wants to get out before the kiddos start heading back to school! Slew
