Need ideas to trouble shoot why is it when I turn the battery switch to dual I get no power to the starter?

The starting battery is on 1 and if the switch is turned to 1 I can turn the key, hear the alarm, and start my motor.

If I turn the switch to 2, I hear nothing, which is correct.

But as stated, if I turn the switch to both (which is supposed to give me the charge from both batteries) I get nothing.

What do I need to troubleshoot?

I'd ck. condition/charge of battery hooked to number 2 position.

Dirty contact on the switch. If it hasn't been used in that position for a long time the contact on the both post can oxidize. Try switching it back and forth a few times to rub the contacts together for a better connection.

Yea, started creating my own wire diagram based on what cables are labeled and what is obvious like the trolling motor.

I've got about 3 cables that are coated in yellow that the dealer had wired to the negative post. Going through my owner's manual trying to figure out what they are.
